Austin, Texas 78751Golf Professional: Steve Darby
Superintendent: Nick Smitham
Designer: Lewis Hancock

Established in 1899, Hancock Golf Course stands today as the oldest golf course in the state of Texas. Located in the heart of Austin, this par 35, 9 hole course is a challenging layout with numerous carries up and down hills and over a beautiful creek that meanders through the course. The old course is relatively short by modern standards, featuring small, well manicured greens that are typical of the era in which it was built

The first site of the Austin Country Club, the original course had sand greens and 18 holes. The noted teacher, Harvey Penick, started his professional career at this location and remained with the Austin Country Club for over 70 years.
