A Unique Way to Grow
Paperwhites Indoors

As gardeners, all winter long we wait impatiently for the moment we can plant our flowers and watch the fruits of our labors blossum before our eyes. In the mean time, while there is still danger of frost you can grow Paperwhite Lillies indoors, with no dirt and it is a beautiful site to see!

Supplies you will need:
* Paperwhite bulbs (you can get these at any gardening center including Great Outdoors on South Congress)
* A vase (clear works great)
* Glass globs or river rocks

Clean the vase and river rocks. Contaminated rocks are usually the reason plants die in them!

Gently fill the vase with the rocks until you are about a 1/2" from the top.

Arrange your paperwhite bulbs on the rocks so they sit flat and snug on the rocks.

Fill the vase with water until just the bottoms of the bulbs are submerged. As they bloom, you will of course have to add more water.

The first few days, keep the vase in a cool, dark place. It doesn't have to be super dark, just a room without a lot of light will do. Once the roots establish themselves, feel free to move the plant onto a window sill or wherever you prefer.

It is as simple as that to start to enjoy the beautiful aromic flowers for weeks to come!
